More About Michael

In his twenties, Michael was a truck driver and racecar driver. After exhausting all his funds, he searched for other interests. After seeing the Ironman on television in 1980, he took up the sport: finished the 1981 Ironman, and won the last mini-triathlon he entered. Cycling was his strength; and when he saw The Great American Bike Race on ABC’s Wide World of Sports in 1982, he felt that he had found his calling. At the age of 29, he began his career in cycling. Little did he know that he would still be competing, let alone setting World Records into his late-fifties! He has also written a book about this journey. The following list of his accomplishments substantiate his metier.
